Atkinson High School is affiliated with the CBSE Board. It has classes ranging from nursery to class X. While it is a Minority Institution, it is open to all, regardless of creed, caste, or linguistic group.

Students at the School can participate in a variety of extracurricular and co-curricular activities. These activities are intended to teach the virtues of sportsmanship and cooperation, resulting in a better person. Schools provide facilities for outdoor and indoor sports, athletics, cultural and literary activities, and NCC (Boys & Girls).

Seminars, debates, elocution seminars, essay and writing assignments, and other activities are available in English, Hindi, and Telugu for all students. They include tests and General Knowledge competitions.

Cultural activities include singing and dancing, dramatics, monoaction mime, mimicry, fancy dress drawing, painting, and so on.

Inter-house competitions and Olympiad exams are held frequently. Participants are given merit certificates, prizes, and rolling shields.

One of the most visible clubs in schools, the Literary Club, instills in students a love of language and helps them improve their writing skills. Before they reach class X, their writing, speaking, and creative abilities are fully developed.

Solo sing-alongs, classical, western, and folk dance, drawing and painting, rangoli mimicry, mono-action, group dancing, group singing, skits, and instrumental music are some of the events organised by the school.

They have a well-planned sports and games infrastructure. Cricket, volleyball, kabaddi, kho-kho, and athletics are among the outdoor games. Shuttle badminton, table tennis, chess, carroms, and other indoor games are popular.
